Of all the restaurants in Kuta, Bali, I was most impressed by Yogi’s Paradise And Grill. The trick, though, is finding the place. It took me three attempts to find it. I am glad, though, that I don’t give up easily, as I was well rewarded for my efforts. It is down a small alley or gang, more in the area of Legian than Kuta. It is down the gang across from the Melasti Beach Resort. The easiest way to get there is to ask for the Island Hotel. It is just around the corner. Or just stay at the Island Hotel, as they have an amazing breakfast. Then, amble over to Yogi’s for lunch and dinner, and you have solved two problems at once. You have found a great restaurant in Kuta, and solved the problem of having to venture out into its madness.
The night I arrived, I happened to mention out loud that I was having the dilemma of choosing between the pork ribs or the half chicken cooked in coconut milk and chilies and wrapped in banana leaves. My decision got easier, when the table next to me mentioned that they had ordered a little bit of everything and that I was welcome to taste it all. Everything was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. I also tried the prawns and the mahi-mahi. My two favorites were the pork and the chicken. If you are going with friends, you can let Yogi’s restaurant know ahead of time and also get suckling pig or duck. I loved the open kitchen and the fact that I got to watch and help join in to cook my ribs! I also appreciated the watermelon that was included with the meal for dessert.
The staff was friendly, the service was excellent, and you are going to the Kuta or Legian area of Bali, I highly recommend a visit to Yogi’s Paradise and Grill. The atmosphere is festive and fun. Just watch out for the dog who lives in the bathroom! Yogi’s Paradise and Grill is a restaurant in Bali that you won’t soon forget.
I am always looking for the perfect escape, the perfect paradise, the kind of place that tosses your cares into the sea. Fortunately, I have discovered many! I created this site to show you where to go and how to get there. My goal is to show you that Paradise is only a plane ticket (or boat ride) away. I have inspired many others to travel and to create a better life. I am available for inspirational speaking, coaching, writing, travel planning, and photography.
