Perfect Beach Holidays

Perfect Beach Holidays

If beach holidays are on the agenda this summer, you’re simply spoiled for choice when it comes to finding a holiday destination.

For some of the best beach breaks in the business, look no further than European waters. Of course you’ll find paradise by jetting off to the far-flung shores of the Caribbean, Thailand or The Maldives, but if your budget or your annual leave allowance won’t quite stretch to a fortnight’s long haul escape, then don’t panic: you’ll still find everything you need right here on your doorstep.

For cheap and cheerful beach holidays in familiar surroundings, Spain is always a favorite. You’ve got neon-lit Benidorm with its cheesy entertainment and bustling nightlife, not to mention the many fascinating and historic sites just a short distance away – such as the lovely Old Town of Alicante. Portugal is another firm favorite, and the Algarve never fails to impress with its spectacular scenery and gorgeous golden beaches.

If you love getting away from the mainland, the island of Malta is an absolute holiday gem. Friendly and welcoming, the Maltese certainly know how to lay on a great holiday – and it shows in everything from the pristine beaches and bubbly beach resorts, to the fabulous array of hotels and well-maintained attractions dotted around the island. What’s more, as destinations go it’s affordable too – as you’ll never have to look far to find cheap holidays to Malta throughout the summer season.

On the subject of reasonable prices, Turkey is another great choice for affordable beach holidays. With fantastic resorts like Bodrum - a classic east-meets-west location with soul-stirring historical monuments, traditional customs and yet all the modern conveniences you have come to expect from your summer holidays, Turkey is a fantastic choice for the whole family.

So, which location gets your vote this summer?
