If you are looking for a bed and breakfast in the lively Bairro Alto area of Lisbon, then A Casa das Janelas com Vista is a great choice. The minute I walked in to its tastefully decorated living room, I knew I was going to have a great stay. It is the kind of lobby that beckons you to relax and unwind. Even though the Bairro Alto, is a busy area, A Casa das Janelas com Vista is located on a quiet street, so I always had a good night’s sleep.  If you aren’t familiar with Lisbon, the Bairro Alto neighborhood is full of great restaurants, bars, and shopping. 

Breakfast was healthy and delicious with lots of fruits, yogurts, breads, meats, and cheeses. I loved the pumpkin ginger jam that was served every morning, too. It was great that I was able to use the kitchen to prepare snacks and meals, too.

The bed in my room was extremely comfortable with high quality linens, and the views of the river were stunning, especially at sunset.  The rooms aren’t huge, but they are comfortable and full of light.

The reception and staff were very friendly, and went out of their way to research the bus schedule for me, and even call a reserve a spot on the bus for me to my next destination. They were full of great advice and very professional. I also enjoyed that there was someone at the desk 24 hours a day. I loved the designer feel to A Casa das Janelas com Vista, and would definitely stay there again.
